TWAEA Organizes 3rd phase of Thai Proficiency Test in 2023, Benefiting Candidates from North and South Districts

In 2023, the 3rd phase of the Thai Language Proficiency Test (TLPT) is being conducted by TWAEA and the Prince of Songkhla University in Thailand, with full registration across all sessions, encompassing students, self-study individuals, as well as professionals who regularly travel between Taiwan and Thailand for occupational purposes. We hope that through good exchanges of cultural and intellectual resources, we can provide valuable supports to individuals interested in pursuing academic and professional opportunities in Thailand, as well as those involved in teaching the Thai language in Taiwan. This language proficiency test serves as a significant asset for individuals seeking to validate their linguistic abilities, thereby enhancing their educational pursuits and career advancement prospects.

The Thai language test is highly valued by the Thai authorities, as evidenced by the participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Arts at Prince of Songkhla University, along with the Director of the Thai Language Center, who traveled to Taiwan to join the test committee. Additionally, a Thai lecturer employed by the university was appointed as an invigilator of this test. In response to the increasing promotion of cultural exchanges between Taiwan and Thailand, the scope of this year's examination has also been expanded. Examination sites were set up in Kaohsiung and Taipei, facilitating the successful completion of the three-day examination on May 28. Certificates of achievement in both English and Thai have already been sent.
