Ministry of Education's “Regional Industrial Talent and Technical Training Base Construction Project” On-Site Vis-its Officially Launched

The Ministry of Education's “Regional Industrial Talent and Technical Training Base Construction Project” centers on six core strategic industries, subsidizing universities and colleges to construct practical training venues modeled after actual industrial operating environments. Since its implementation beginning in 2022, the project has approved 20 talent cultivation bases and has entered its final year of execution. The Taiwan Assessment and Evaluation Association, commissioned by the Ministry of Education to implement this project, launched on-site visits in May this year to understand the execution effectiveness of each subsidized project. These visits not only examine whether the overall operational status – including facility and equipment utilization, daily management, and safety maintenance – achieves expected objectives and supports teaching activities, but also focus on curriculum implementation conditions, training benefits for enrolled students, in-service trainees, and seed teachers, as well as partner schools' operational achievements. The visits particularly emphasize urging sustainable financial performance of projects, expecting schools to generate financial income after subsidy termination, implementing sustainable base operations and continuing to exert synergistic effects in cultivating professional talent.
