Launch of TWAEA’s 2021 Survey on Learning Outcomes and Satisfaction in Higher Education from Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam

Launch of TWAEA’s 2021 Survey on Learning Outcomes and Satisfaction in Higher Education from Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam

The rise of internationalization has encouraged the mobility of higher education. Competitors are no longer restricted by regions and dynamic co-opetition relationships are taking place all over the world. Under the impacts of internationalization, low birth rate, and universal education, Taiwan's higher education is facing a changing and complicated environment. We must continue to learn and improve to cope with the accelerating changes and fierce competition.  Against this backdrop, international cooperation is inevitable.

In the project TIRC’s “Survey on Learning Outcomes and Satisfaction in Higher Education from Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam”, which was conducted from 2018 to 2021, we have cooperated with evaluation organizations from Japan and Thailand. The main objective of the project is to continue assisting higher education institutions (HEIs) in improving the efficiency of their professional management. This year, for the first time and with the goal of increasing IR diversity, we have invited professional evaluation organizations from Vietnam to participate this survey.
The survey was officially launched on 6th of April, 2021, and continued until 9th of July, 2021. All colleges and universities that are interested in participating are welcome to participate. The results of the survey will be used for statistics reports and cross-country analysis to assist HEIs in reviewing the impacts of teaching activities, building international IR networks among HEIs. Hopefully, the project can serve as a new blueprint for cross- country development.
