The Taiwan Assessment and Evaluation Association (TWAEA) successfully concluded the Ministry of Education’s “Practical Workshop” for local governments and community colleges.
Commissioned by the Ministry of Education, TWAEA carried out the “2025 Review of Local Government Management of Community Col-lege Affairs and the National Community College Incentive Program.” The review process was completed in late July, with results announced by the Ministry. To further support local governments in strengthening the development of community colleges, TWAEA held a “Practical Workshop” in mid-October 2025, inviting local governments with exemplary performance and community colleges with distinctive education-al approaches to share their practical experiences.
The workshop focused on reinforcing the core principles outlined in Article 3 of the Community College Development Act and the practical directions for its nine key tasks. Discussion topics included enhancing civic literacy and public engagement, establishing community college alliances, developing management strategies and institutional characteristics, and identifying and utilizing regional resources.
Through this event, TWAEA hopes to promote the exchange and transmission of valuable experience between local governments and commu-nity colleges, laying a stronger foundation for the sustainable development of Taiwan’s community college system and advancing the shared goal of collaborative growth.
