Preparatory Work for Academic Year 114 (2025) Technological University Evaluation Commences

The Taiwan Assessment and Evaluation Association (TWAEA) has been commissioned by the Ministry of Education to conduct evaluation-related work for technological and vocational institutions. The evaluation implementation plan was announced on January 10, 2025, targeting 16 universities of technology and 6 junior colleges for routine institutional evaluation, follow-up evaluation, and re-evaluation processes. To enhance participating institutions' understanding of the evaluation timeline, briefing sessions and evaluation workshops are scheduled for August, inviting evaluated schools to attend. These sessions will address practical aspects of evaluation work, including: pre-site visit preparation, evaluation procedures, and post-evaluation considerations. A public lottery will be conducted during the event, with evaluation dates for each institution coordinated and arranged according to their lottery results.

The implementation of routine evaluation work aims to examine the construction and execution of teaching quality assurance systems at each institution, strengthen institutional governance, foster self-disciplinary spirit, assist schools in understanding their current developmental status, continuously enhance educational quality, implement student learning outcome-oriented teaching quality improvement mechanisms, and reinforce technical and vocational curricula alongside students' practical capability development. This connects with industrial development trends, collaboratively cultivating professional technical talent equipped with practical skills, innovation capabilities, and employability, actively realizing the educational objective of pragmatic utility in technical and vocational education.
